We have breakfast in a restaurant near the
hotel.
We think we order rice soup, but it turns out to be rice with a bowl of soup.
We eat it anyway, and it doesn't taste bad.
The coffee is pretty good.
We pack and when the driver arrives we go to a market in Siem Reap.
The city is now a lot less busy, a pity that we are no longer able to look around.
The market is not that special, just souvenirs and cheap counterfeit products.
Then we go to Poi Pet, the border
crossing, more than two hours away.
The driver drops us off at Cambodian customs, and we say goodbye to him.
We are through Cambodian customs pretty quickly.
At Thai customs there is again, as with
the departure from Aranyaprathet, the distinction between Thai and foreigners.
Pia is through customs in 10 minutes, for Tom it takes two hours.
We agreed yesterday that we will not immediately return to Bangkok due to traffic jams;
Moue and Kaeng have to go back because they have to work tomorrow.
After some consultation we decide to go to
Haad Chao Lao, on the coast near Chanthaburi.
We arrive there at seven and go to a hotel where we have been before; it appears to be far
too expensive.
We go to the resort next door, the
Hadsaithong Resort where we take three rooms, one double for us, and two triple rooms
for the family.
It looks good and the air conditioning works.
We eat at Yaitu Seafood restaurant and then we go to sleep.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
